On SUNDAY 18th JANUARY a dozen of us met up for a WINTER WALK at ANGLESEY ABBEY, Lode, Nr Cambridge.
This is an absolutely lovely garden especially at this time of year and well worth a visit. The sun shone and there was an azure blue sky which made the red, gold and lime green stems and foliage glow with colour. Snowdrops and even a few daffodils were out and the river and water mill were a picture. The stark contrast of the brilliant white trunks and branches of the birch trees rose spookily against the sky. It was fantastic! All rounded off with a lovely lunch at the nearby Wheatsheaf pub. A memorable Sunday!
